Property Values
Tucson residential property values overall continue to decline slightly. This is a reflection of the continued uncertainty within the economy as a whole and the fact that Arizona was one of four states that saw way above average sales and values prior to the bubble bursting. Tucson still has pockets of real estate that are maintaining their values and property that is actually appreciating. These are typically areas that reflect desireable qualities like location, views and larger parcels of land. We will continue to see a glut of "toxic" assets for a while as investors and others in a position to buy snap up these properties at bargain basement prices. For those needing to sell however, homes that are (1) priced right and that (2) show well will not be on the market very long still.
